I have sat in every seat this industry has.
Teacher. Instructor. Principal. Parent. Researcher. Founder. Technologist. Every one of those seats showed me a different piece of the same gap: the adults who spend hours with kids outside the school day answer to no shared standard, and parents assume someone checked. I am spending my career closing it.

CHAPTER ONE
The educator
I started with Teach For America on the Big Island, became a licensed principal at 24, and spent more than a decade in schools as a teacher and principal, leading schools and designing the professional development other teachers learned from. I earned an Ed.D. along the way because I wanted to understand learning from the research side too, not just the front of the room.
CHAPTER TWO
The founder
I started Journey to STEAM because the enrichment I wanted for my own daughter did not exist. It grew across 75+ school sites and 2,500+ students in the Portland metro, with a 95% partner renewal rate, profitable from the start, and NW Kids Magazine and PDX Parent named it a top 5 Best STEM Camp and Best Afterschool Program. Every one of those sites showed me how much trust schools and parents hand to programs they never get to vet.
CHAPTER THREE
The builder
Running it exposed the industry’s real problem. Every program checks its own staff its own way, and nothing carries over from one program to the next. So I founded enrops to make every program for kids safer to trust and simpler to run: verified once, trusted everywhere, with registration, rosters, payments and parent communication in one place. enrops was selected for the Oregon AI Accelerator.
CHAPTER FOUR
The voice
Now I spend my time where the standard actually gets set: on stages and panels, in the press, and on The Youth Enrichment Leader, where new episodes land every Monday on YouTube. If you decide what kids walk into, or you tell the story of the people who do, I want to be in that conversation.
